Description

Did you know black rabbits (and cats, dogs etc.) generally spend more time in shelters and rescues than other pets? They are less likely to be adopted and while we take good care of them, a shelter is no place for a pet. They need a home.

We think the issue is mostly because they don't stand out as much while in their cage, especially on a cloudy day. Another reason is that they are harder to photograph. Especially with bad lighting their facial features are harder to see so they don't have as much expression as other rabbits do.

This last problem is something I am trying to fix! I make the pictures for the website (among other things) and I try to pay special attention to the unlucky rabbits; The black ones, the ones that have not-so-flattering pictures because they were scared the first try, the ones that are hard to rehome because of behavioral problems etc. I want to give them all an equal opportunity.

Let me know if I succeeded here! I for one can not resist this cute face. If you look closely, you can see she has an adorable white spot on her head and beautiful brown eyes that shine when she's in the sun :)

This is a rabbit at the shelter I volunteer at. It's not my bunny, I was just photographing her for the website. She will be bonded before going to her new forever home :)

~Please think before you get rabbits, they are a lifelong commitment and need specific care!~

I think that this image is of a brilliant quality, and the lighting's perfect for the subject of view. The only small downside is that in some areas the image looks artificial(like you've drawn it) But You have to look carefully to see this. You're an excellent photographer! As I a=imagine you're adopting this out/advertising with it, I think it would suit either jobs equally well and would have a decently good ( at the very least) impact on the audience you're most likely looking to expect. I hope this critique helped, and you can use the information I've given.
